How I handle what you send me.

Bluelink Studio is me, a sole trader in Aotearoa New Zealand, and this statement follows the Privacy Act 2020.

Visiting the site

The site has no analytics, adverts or tracking cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which hosts it, handles each request, including your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks.

Requests

The small forms on this site (consultation, contract work and the Ballistic Dynamics System release notification) ask for your email address and, if you want to add one, a message. I use them only to reply to your request: I don't sell them, pass them on or add you to a mailing list. I keep requests for 12 months, then delete them, unless we end up working together.

The assessment form

If I've sent you the link to my assessment form, it asks for:

• your name and a way to contact you (an email address or Discord handle);
• your game's title, if you give one, and the assessments you choose;
• your answers to the questions.

I use them only to prepare your assessment and its report, and to contact you about it. I don't sell them or pass them on. I'll only share anonymised findings from your assessment if you've said yes to that in the form.

While you fill the form in, your answers are saved in your own browser so you can come back later. They stay on your device until you send them, and are cleared once they're sent.

The assessment form and the request forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending them. Turnstile looks at information about your browser to do that; Cloudflare's privacy policy covers what it collects.

Where it's kept, and for how long

Requests and assessment answers are stored in a database in my Cloudflare account, in Cloudflare's Oceania region (served from Brisbane, Australia). Only I can read them, behind a password.

I keep your answers until your assessment is finished, and delete them 12 months after that unless you ask me to keep them longer. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any time.

Emailing me

If we carry on by email, I keep the conversation in my email account for as long as it's useful for our work together.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. Email itsme@bluelink.studio and I'll reply within 20 working days. If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
